Peanut Butter Cookies

2 Cups Crisco
2 Cups peanut butter
2 Cups brown suggar
1 Cup white sugar
.5 Cup oil
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
6 Cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp soda
2 tsp. baking powder
Cream Criso and sugars; add eggs and beat. Stir in peanut
butter, oil and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients; add to mixture and
blend well. Rol dough into little balls and flatten with fork. Bake at 350

Sashiko-style Wall Hanging
Makes 2 dozen cookies
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup finely chopped dates
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
.5 cups white sugar
1 Tbsp. water
1 cup coconut
1. Combined powdered sugar, peanut butter, dates and walnuts
and mix well. Roll into 1-inch balls.
2. Combine white sugar and water. Dip balls in sugar and water solution
and roll in coconut. Store in airtight container
Banana Oatmeal cookies

Appliqued Butterfly
Makes about 4 dozen cookies
1 cup white sugar
.75 cup shortening
1 egg
1.5 cups all-purpose flour
.5 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
.5 tsp baking soda
.25 tsp nutmeg
1.75 cups oatmeal
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
/5 cup chopped nuts or raisins
1 Cream together sugar, shortening and egg. Add all other ingredients and mix well.
2. Drop by rounded teaspoonsfull onto greased cookie sheet.
3. Bake at 400 for about 10 minutes until light brown.
Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

4 eggs
2 cup butter
1/5 cup brown sugar
/5 cup white sugar
2 small packages instant vanilla pudding
2 tsp vanilla
4 cup flour
2 tsp soda
2 cup chocolate chips
2 cup nuts
Beat first 6 ingredients until creamy; then add dry ingredients and mix well. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes
Pumpkin Bars

4 eggs
2 cup pumkpin
1 tsp soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
2 cup flour
.5 tsp salt
Frosting:
1 stick butter
1 8oz cream cheese
3 cup powdered sugar
Mix together all the ingredients for the cake. Pour in greased
and floured cooked sheet with sides. Bake at 350 oven. Beat frosting ingredients
until fluffy and spread on cooled bars.
